At Vianode, we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our customers' personal information. This Privacy Statement outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our services and the choices you have associated with that data. We adhere to the principles of transparency, accountability, and user empowerment in our data handling practices. All processing of personal data is in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

- Personal Data: If you have contacted us via our webpage, e-mail or phone, are a contact person at one of our suppliers or partners, have attended one of our events, have requested information or applied for a position at Vianode, we may store certain personal information about you. This usage data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

- The processing is in our legitimate interests and it's not overridden by your rights
- For payment processing purposes

Retention of Data
Vianode will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Statement. We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
Transfer of Data
We mainly process data in Norway and within the EU/EEA. In some cases, we work with partners outside the EU/EEA (sometimes referred to as "third countries"), and in such cases we take extra precautions to ensure that your data is processed in accordance with our standards through measures such as use of the European Commission's standard agreement that ensures the transfer of data to third countries (standard contract clauses). And transfer of data to countries that have been pre-approved by the European Commission.
Vianode has employees, sites, and offices in different countries in Europe, North America and Asia. Each entity will be following the same policies and corporate rules, even though personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside the EU/EEA, where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. If you are located outside EU/EEA and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer personal data, to the EU/EEA and process it there.
